Throughout the month of November, the Society of Typographic Arts featured the 30 talented Chicago designers of the Chicago Characters: A Brief & Incomplete History of Design in Chicago.
The exhibition was installed in the Merchandise Mart with 30 posters about 30 characters (people and companies) that are a part of Chicago's design history—using 30 characters of an extended alphabet.
I created over 60 assets to promote the exhibition by showcasing the designers and a detail of their poster. After collecting bios and headshots of each of the 30 designers, I created 2 assets for each designer.
Each poster was carefully cropped to create a detail image and each designers’ initials were crafted onto their headshot. The two images were posted together in a gallery format with the caption providing information about their assigned letter, their own bio, and information on their topic of Chicago design history.
