One For One

Working in a team of 4 with 12 hours on the clock, we put our creative skills into play as we explored advancing the Ferrer Foundation and its mission across the digital landscape.

The Ferrer Foundation is a Chicago-based non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire peace and hope for children living in underserved communities. For more than a decade, Ferrer has been providing programs and resources for youth affected by violence in Chicago.

Designathon hosted by Eight Bit Studios at the Design Museum of Chicago in November 2018.

Ferrer Foundation Greenhouse Program


The Concept

Using the analogy of the life cycle of a plant, #greenlinetogreenhouse illustrates how one small action can make an immense impact.

Our campaign promotes Ferrer Foundation’s current programming with their new look & feel developed by Thirst to inform the public on their new identity and mission as One For One.

Typeface developed by Thirst.


The Pitch

We presented to Ferrer Foundation Board Members Meghan Olson, founder and executive director, and Gina Doctor, marketing communication strategist, along with the Eight Bit Studio team, Design Museum of Chicago team, and 9 teams of participants.
